DSR strongly supports the mission of the COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors [https://publicationethics.org/]; all editors, reviewers, and authors collaborating with the journal are strongly invited to comply with this mission.
The DSR publishes a single volume and a single issue annually for the print version. The print version is released yearly. However, with the introduction of the online version, the journal aims to transition to a rolling publication model, where articles will be published periodically throughout the year. This shift aligns with our commitment to disseminating high-quality research in an electronic format in a timely manner. Authors and readers will benefit from more frequent updates, ensuring a dynamic and responsive platform for scholarly exchange. The online publication schedule will be communicated through the journal's website and other relevant channels.​

Authorship Criteria

Authorship confers credit and has important academic, social, and financial implications. Authorship also implies responsibility and accountability for published work. The ICMJE [https://www.icmje.org/] has developed criteria for authorship that can be used by all journals, including those that distinguish authors from other contributors.

DSR follows that authorship be based on the ICMJE recommended 4 criteria:
  • Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND
  • Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; AND
  • Final approval of the version to be published; AND
  • Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Citation Guidelines

Authors are encouraged to consult the journal's submission guidelines before preparing and submitting their manuscripts. Ensure references follow APA style, verifying completeness, accuracy, and consistency. Arrange them chronologically without serial numbering for optimal use of the Reference Linking feature. In-text citations should be like (Ahmed, 2020) using the last name of single author or (Ahmed and Yamin, 2020) citing both last names of two, while (Ahmed et al., 2020) is for three or more authors. The end-of-paper reference list must be in alphabetical order. Should avoid numeric referencing ([1], [2]) for evaluation purposes. Contributors who meet fewer than all 4 of the above criteria for authorship should not be listed as authors, but they should be acknowledged. Because acknowledgment may imply endorsement by acknowledged individuals of a study’s data and conclusions.
